Droll roll for the TOP FIVE (these are subjectively MY FAVORITES–it's so hard to choose):

TOP THRILLER:

Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica

OK. This book took me by surprised. I thought I had it figured out. "Yep I know who the killer is, and BAM–wrong." Read this one in two days.

TOP NONFICTION:

Atomic Habits by James Clear

This. One. I thoroughly ejoyed every shred of wisdom James Clear revealed in this gem of a book. You can even go to the author's website and print of habit trackers to put into action what you learn from the book. A top three nonfiction for me.

TOP MEMOIR:

I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

Quite the morbid title, I know, but growing up in the 90s, this book took me back to my Nickelodeon and iCarly days.

TOP FICTION:

Daisy Jones &. The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Undoubtedly, the top star of the 2023 book list for many readers was “Daisy Jones & The Six.” Taylor Jenkins Reid’s compelling narrative captures themes of love, fame, and the price of success. And the characters flew off the pages, especially the unforgettable character of Camila who drew me into the tumultuous yet fictitious world of '70s rock ‘n’ roll. The Amazon Prime show that released in 2023 was a cherry on top after finishing the book.

An additional book I want to call out is Synodic by Kristin Travis–Sarah J. Maas has met her match, y’all. I had the pleasure of being a beta-reader for this book. The character development (**chef's kiss**). The storyline. The twists and turns. The action scenes. The love story. The writing. Be sure to check this one out!

Happy Reading! Here's to the 2024 reads.
